Maintenance Technician

• Maintain and repair all equipment to keep plant running safely and efficiently. Also, complete special projects assigned by Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager.
• Working directly with Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager to set priorities and develop preventive maintenance program.
• Working with other supervisors and departments leads to maintain and repair any equipment.
• Trouble shooting/prioritizing and repairing equipment that is not operating correctly and causing safety or production issues.
• Ensuring that safety is the number 1 priority throughout facility.
• Enforcing and following all safety policies and protocols.
• Maintaining good attendance record and able to work overtime as needed.
• Maintaining good safety record.
• Maintaining positive attitude.
• Remaining proactive at all times.

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing shop equipment used in manufacturing processes.
• Experience working all voltages/ phases of electrical services.
• Experience repairing forklifts, including minor engine repairs, oil changes, brakes, etc.
• Experience working on hydraulic systems.
• Experience working on welding machines.
• Experience working on spray paint equipment.
• Certified to operate a forklift.
• Experience with work order / Preventive Maintenance set up & develop.
• Must be able to prioritize daily schedule and understand daily standard work.
• Experience with basic computer skills, excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint is required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.

• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

• Basic math and/or tape measure reading is a must.
• Require ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in standard and complex situations.
