MISSION:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operator/Trainer is responsible for operating tactical vehicles, performing PMCS, and providing instruction to military personnel on the safe operation and maintenance of fleet equipment in support of POI training.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.

  • Perform weekly PMCS and 10-level maintenance on assigned/unassigned vehicles

  • Operate, and load/unload from transport, all tracked and wheeled tactical vehicles such as Abrams tanks, Bradley fighting vehicles, and HMMWVs (M1, M2, M3, Stryker, JLTV, LMTV)

  • Complete DA Form 5988E and other maintenance logs accurately

  • Issue and recover vehicles in support of training missions

  • Instruct on proper vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols

  • Assist with radio, communication, and basic equipment handling tasks

  • Follow safety rules and regulations while performing job functions

  • Maintain all required endorsements, certifications, clearances required

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in tactical fleet operations or military MOS (e.g., 91B, 91A, 91M)

  • Valid CDL (Category A) license required/attainable

  • Forklift certification required/attainable for at least four team members. Employment is contingent on operator obtaining and maintaining this certification.

  • Ability to operate heavy trucks and vehicles 26,000 pounds and over

  • Familiarity with Army maintenance procedures and safety guidelines

  • Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current CDL License

  • Current Forklift Certification

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

  • Must be able to work harmoniously in a team environment with a diverse workforce.

  • Work at a reasonable pace for the job duties assigned and physical ability.

  • Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints).

  • Able to follow basic instructions with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate and draw valid conclusions.

  • Attentive to detail for quality performance.

TRAVEL:

No travel is expected for this position.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE):

  • Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is typically performed outdoors or in open-air work bays while being exposed to different temperatures and weather conditions including rain, wind, thunder, lightning, and sunshine.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Tasks require manual dexterity.

Availability: Full Time Monday - Friday

Salary: $21.48 per hour
