JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervisor Tactical Fleet Support is a hands-on leader that will supervise day-to-day operations for a tactical vehicle maintenance and support team under a U.S. Army training support contract at Fort Benning. The Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating operator schedules, tracking maintenance performance, and ensuring safe and effective execution of Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) in alignment with Army regulations.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Support the Project Manager in maintaining quality control and adherence to safety procedures.
- Resolve operational issues, communicate mission requirements, and escalate problems when necessary.
- Ensure 10-level operator maintenance is completed properly
- Support vehicle and equipment hand-offs, recoveries, and training activities
- Provide feedback and initial incident reporting to PM/APM
- Enforce safety rules and regulations while performing job functions
- Evaluation of other CDL A personnel as required
- Review and submit DA Form 5988Es and ensure equipment readiness.
- Assign and track work orders and PMCS tasks
- Conduct spot checks and vehicle inspections to verify compliance with AR 750-1, ATP4-33, and DA PAM 750-8,
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Serve as liaison between Operators and upper management
- Act as first-line supervisor for Operator Trainers; provide guidance and on-the-job training to team members
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tactical vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, or a related military support role.
- Prior experience leading or supervising a small team in a logistics or maintenance setting.
- Experience in tactical tracked and wheeled vehicle operations to include driver responsibilities and Communications equipment
- Must be able to pass a background screening for base access.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid CDL (Category A) license required/attainable
- Forklift certification required/attainable for at least four team members. Employment is contingent on operator obtaining and maintaining this certification.
- Must be able to obtain a Defensive Drivers Course card
- Completion of (or willingness to complete) DoD Level I Anti-Terrorism, OPSEC and information Assurance training
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree
- Prior military service or experience on an Army logistics or maintenance contract.
- Current CDL and/or Forklift certification
- Knowledge of TAMMS and Army training operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse workforce
- Familiarity with Army PMCS procedures and DA Form 5988E documentation
- Knowledgeable in the use of Technical Manuals, Lube Orders, and other manuals governing Operator Level Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services.
- Must be able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Must be able to read and understand the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirements
- Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats).
- Effective interpersonal skills. Able to get along with diverse personalities and abilities; is tactful, professional and customer service oriented.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to think-on-your-feet.
TRAVEL:
No travel is expected for this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is typically performed outdoors or in open-air work bays while being exposed to different temperatures and weather conditions including rain, wind, thunder, lightning, and sunshine.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
Availability: Full Time Monday - Friday
Salary: $21.98 per hour
