Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fleet Mechanic at BAC Transportation, located in Anchorage, AK. The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles in BAC's diverse fleet, including executive sedans, SUVs, buses, and other specialized vehicles. Key responsibilities include performing maintenance, both routine and preventive; troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues; and ensuring that vehicles are safe, fully operational, and compliant with regulatory standards. The Fleet Mechanic will collaborate with other team members to uphold the company’s commitment to safety, reliability, and high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Experience with gas and diesel engine maintenance, and preventive maintenance,
particularly with a diverse array of vehicle
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
- Knowledge of heavy equipment repair and vehicle systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all maintenance practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and work in a team-oriented environment
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus
- Previous experience with fleet tracking software and electronic work orders
