This is more than another tax preparation position. You'll help lead our tax department, mentor employees, build strong client relationships, and provide proactive tax planning and advisory services.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the day-to-day operations of our tax department
• Mentor employees, answer technical questions, and provide guidance
• Review individual, business, and other complex tax returns
• Prepare complex tax returns as needed
• Review financial statements and identify tax implications
• Conduct client tax meetings and proactive tax planning meetings
• Prepare tax planning reports and recommendations
• Research complex tax issues and stay current on changing tax laws
• Help manage department workflow, deadlines, and quality
• Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor

What We're Looking For

• CPA required
• 3 years of public accounting tax experience; 5 years preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
• Experience with tax planning and complex tax situations
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
• A team-oriented professional who enjoys helping clients and coworkers succeed

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, primarily in-office position in Dyersville or Dubuque, Iowa.

We value teamwork, collaboration, and having our leadership team available to support employees and clients. While in-office work is preferred, occasional remote work flexibility may be available.

Additional hours are expected during tax season and other peak filing periods. We recognize the commitment our employees make during busy season and offer additional free days during the summer.
