Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the individual needs of students, including those with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom activities effectively to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
- Provide individualized support for students with developmental disabilities, including the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and engage students in interactive learning.
- Foster social, emotional, and behavioral health through positive reinforcement and effective classroom management techniques.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and external professionals to support student development and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, providing regular updates to parents and administration.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with lesson planning techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Experience working with toddlers or young children is highly desirable.
- Understanding of behavioral health concepts as they relate to education.
- Ability to effectively utilize learning technology in the classroom setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
