Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-centric Product Manager to lead the development and scaling of our indoor farming technology. This role is central to driving innovation in our hardware-software-horticulture ecosystem, ensuring our farms deliver maximum value to our customers while supporting sustainable, profitable agriculture at scale.

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with market insight and thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, agriculture, and commercialization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Vision
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with company goals and customer needs.
  • Work closely with leadership to define product vision and positioning within the controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) market.


  • Cross-functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with horticulture, engineering - hardware and software, customer experience, sales, and operations teams to define and deliver high-impact product features and performance.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer across internal teams.


  • Customer & Market Insights
  • Gather user feedback through interviews, surveys, and on-site visits.
  • Analyze data and usage patterns to identify opportunities for product improvement.


  • Product Development
  • Own product requirements documentation (PRDs), user stories, and prioritization processes.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and feature delivery in collaboration with agile development teams.


  • Hardware/Software Integration
  • Manage development of integrated features that bridge IoT hardware (e.g., sensors, control systems) with software platforms (e.g., growing app, dashboard, remote monitoring).
  • Ensure seamless UX across all touchpoints.


  • Launch & Lifecycle Management
  • Own and manage project timeline and deliverables. 
  • Oversee successful launch and iteration of new features or products.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and iterate based on metrics and feedback.


  • Budget and P&L
  • Manage comprehensive budget from R&D to fully-loaded BOM to commercial Manufacturing to deliver against economic targets.



Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably with a blend of hardware and software products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Excellent project management experience using tools like Asana. 
  • Experience working with IoT, AgTech, or CleanTech products preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for sustainability, urban farming, and impact-driven innovation.


Nice to Have
  • Certification in Project Management 
  • Experience in hydroponics, CEA, or environmental systems.
  • Familiarity with agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or Notion.
  • Experience managing products in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
