Operations & Business Manager – Kids’ Play Space

$28/hour plus commission | Approximately 30 hours/week | Part-time, on-site

Baby University is a mom-owned, locally owned early childhood enrichment and family support space in Aurora. We’re looking for an experienced manager to run the space on weekends and weekday afternoons and help grow the business alongside the owner.

This is a hands-on role with real influence. Your ideas get implemented, you’ll see the direct impact of your work, and you’ll earn commission on the sales you bring in.

What you’ll do

• Run the space during your shifts: check-ins, phone and booking inquiries, opening and closing, cleaning and resetting play areas, and keeping supplies stocked
• Turn inquiries into bookings for memberships, classes, birthday parties, and events
• Build relationships with families, recommend what fits them, and handle concerns
• Take on growth projects with the owner: website updates, email campaigns, and outreach to pediatricians, preschools, and local organizations
• Spot problems and opportunities, and act on them without waiting to be told

You’ll be a fit if you

• Have at least 1 year of management or leadership experience, whether leading a team, a business, or a classroom (required)
• Have sales or customer acquisition experience (strongly preferred)
• Are outgoing, organized, and reliable. We can’t open without you.
• Pick up new software quickly (booking systems, websites)
• Have a basic understanding of child development and can help families choose the programs that best fit their kids

Schedule (weekend-anchored, consistent week to week)

• Saturday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Sunday 8:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Monday–Wednesday 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
  Your weekday mornings are free, plus all of Thursday and Friday.

Pay and perks
