Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes learning and growth. Hourly Rate: $18 per hour
Schedule: Part-time (2 days per week), approximately 8–10 hours per day — total of 20 hours weekly.
Preferred days are Wednesday and Friday, but this schedule is negotiable based on mutual availability.
Language Requirement: Must speak both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in a safe and caring manner, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Support toddlers and infants with feeding, diapering, nap schedules, and hygiene routines.
- Engage children with educational play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities to stimulate learning and creativity.
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, changing areas, and activity spaces according to health standards.
- Assist with classroom or daycare routines in accordance with early childhood education principles.
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures to handle minor injuries or emergencies promptly.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and developmental observations accurately for ongoing child assessment.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting roles, or as a nanny is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers with patience and understanding of their unique needs.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children.
- Certification in first aid is preferred; training in CPR is a plus.
- Classroom experience or caregiving roles that involved supervising groups of children will strengthen your application.
