Occupational Therapy Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with individuals of all ages, including children and adults, to help them achieve their maximum potential in daily living and working activities. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, goals, and progress.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental disorders.

Skills

• Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
• Ability to assist individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.
• Proficiency in creating engaging therapy sessions tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy within various settings such as clinics and skilled nursing facilities.
• A compassionate approach to care that fosters trust and encourages patient participation in their own recovery.
