What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Support Teacher - Full Time position at Baby Fox Academy of Florida?
Full-Time Classroom Support Teacher (Floater)
Baby Fox Academy – Lakewood Ranch
Please note: This is a full-time, year-round position.
Do you believe childhood should be filled with laughter, mud pies, imagination, and meaningful connections?
Do you think the best classrooms are the ones where teachers are on the floor building block towers, reading stories with silly voices, and celebrating every little milestone?
If so...we'd love to meet you.
At Baby Fox Academy, we're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic Full-Time Floater Teacher to join our incredible team at our Lakewood Ranch campus, serving children from infancy through VPK.
Our Classroom Support Teachers are some of the most valuable members of our team. Every day is a little different! You'll build relationships with children throughout the school, support teachers as they complete planning time or professional development, step into classrooms when needed, and help ensure every child experiences the same warm, nurturing, high-quality care that defines The Baby Fox Way.
If you're looking for a position where no two days are the same, where you'll make an impact across the entire school, and where having fun is actually part of the job description—you've found it.
What Makes Baby Fox Academy Different?
We're passionate about protecting childhood.
That means you'll rarely find our children sitting at desks or completing endless worksheets. Instead, you'll see classrooms filled with exploration, sensory play, art, music, movement, dramatic play, outdoor adventures, STEM activities, and meaningful conversations.
Our teachers don't simply supervise children...
They create unforgettable learning experiences.
We invest in our classrooms, our teachers, and our culture because we believe that when educators feel supported, children thrive.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Competitive pay starting at $18–$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Annual pay increases
Paid training and professional development
Paid holidays and paid sick time
50% employee discount on childcare
Tuition reimbursement opportunities
Participation in the TEACH Early Childhood® Scholarship Program, allowing eligible employees to earn college credentials at little to no personal cost
Referral bonus program
Supplemental insurance options
Fun team-building events (yes...we pay for those too!)
A fully stocked curriculum resource room filled with books, art supplies, sensory materials, STEM resources, loose parts, dramatic play materials, and everything you need to create engaging learning experiences—because we believe teachers shouldn't have to spend their own money on classroom supplies.
Most importantly...
You'll be part of a leadership team that believes in communication, collaboration, and supporting our teachers every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Classroom Support Teacher, you'll help ensure every classroom continues to provide exceptional care and engaging learning experiences by:
- Building positive relationships with children across all age groups, from infants through VPK.
- Stepping into classrooms as needed to provide seamless support for teachers.
- Confidently implementing classroom lesson plans and daily routines.
- Creating safe, nurturing, engaging learning environments where children can learn through play.
- Encouraging children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate activities.
- Supporting positive behavior using respectful, relationship-based guidance techniques.
- Collaborating with teachers and administrators to meet the individual needs of every child.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Participating in ongoing professional development, team trainings, and state conferences as opportunities arise.
- Bringing positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever you're needed.
What We're Looking For
Our ideal teammate is someone who:
Loves children and genuinely enjoys being around them.
Believes learning happens through play.
Isn't afraid to get messy, be silly, sing songs, dance, build forts, or sit on the floor reading books.
Is dependable, flexible, and enjoys variety.
Works well as part of a team and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Communicates professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
Wants a career—not just another job.
