Your Role:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Porter to support daily operations at a fraternity/sorority house serving live-in student residents. This full-time role involves maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the facility, supporting basic building upkeep, and ensuring common areas, kitchens, and restrooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The porter works closely with the chef and sous chef, maintaining consistent communication to address daily needs and priorities. The secondary role of this job is occasional basic food preparation and assistance.
You are responsible for upholding cleanliness standards, supporting a positive environment, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the house kitchen. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a collegiate, community-oriented residential setting.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen, dish room, equipment, and work areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Assist with basic food prep
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost
- Receive and properly store food and supplies
- Support kitchen staff during service
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Report maintenance or safety issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Adaptability
- Teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with industry standards & practices
- Execute service within timelines and schedules
- Dealing with challenges in a professional manner
- Capacity to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and adaptability to other physical demands
Suggested Education/Experience:
- Prior food service experience
