The Junior Network Technician assists network staff with daily operations and offers support for various projects. This position involves implementation of network infrastructure (configuration and deployment) as well as day-to-day production support and customer interfacing opportunities.

This is an on-campus position expected to work approximately 35 hours per week September 8th through December 15th 2026.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE
Some prior experience within IT a plus.
This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $25.00. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Utilize port inventory data to continue Babson's campus wide wired port reduction initiative.
- Survey WiFi signal strength using specialized equipment as directed by NEO Staff.
- Assist NEO staff with scripting and small software projects as directed.
- Create logical diagrams of network closets using software as directed by NEO staff.
- Assist NEO staff with configuration, deployment, and installation of network switches.
- Assist NEO staff with troubleshooting and problem resolution for Tier 2/3 escalations.
- Adhere to NEO documentation standards when creating MOPs, SOPs, and other work documentation.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.
WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
- Some classes towards a Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to think creatively and solve uncommon issues.
- Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
