Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a PreK Lead Teacher located in Brooklyn, NY. The PreK Lead Teacher will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans to foster social, emotional, and intellectual development in young children. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment, assessing student progress, communicating with families, and collaborating with other educators to create a dynamic learning atmosphere. The role also involves training and mentoring assistant teachers to ensure consistency and quality in educational practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Teaching methods tailored to early childhood education
- Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and colleagues
- Background in Education, including knowledge of early learning standards and child development
- Proficiency in Training and mentoring others to foster skill development and teaching excellence
- Passion for nurturing young learners, and a patient, empathetic approach to education
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
- Certification in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred)
