Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of trucks and trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks, and possess strong driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service.
Duties
- Operate trucks with manual transmission.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Safely drive route to deliver freight to multiple locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with securing loads for transport to prevent damage during transit
- Follow all company policies regarding hours of service, safety procedures, and route planning
Experience
- Prior experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is required
- Knowledge of route driving and load & unload procedures is essential
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for the type of vehicle operated is required
- Proven track record of safe driving practices in a professional setting
