Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination
• Assist customers with their orders, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty
• Upsell additional products or services where appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform heavy lifting when necessary, and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Organize delivery routes for maximum efficiency using route driving skills and organizational tools
• Merchandize products at delivery locations as needed, ensuring proper placement and presentation
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication with the dispatch team throughout your shift

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving preferred; a valid driver’s license is required
• Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques is a plus; ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during deliveries
• Organizational skills to plan efficient routes and manage multiple deliveries seamlessly
• Military background or experience can be advantageous due to discipline, route planning expertise, and strong work ethic
