Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service during their visit, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash register operations
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness to ensure optimal service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in cashiering using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in beverage service or barista roles that involve drink preparation and serving techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
