Duties
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or limousines along designated local routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other approved destinations with professionalism and compassion.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met; perform basic maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent customer service, assist with boarding and disembarking, and address any special needs or concerns.
- Follow GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan routes, optimize schedules, and ensure timely arrivals at all destinations.
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and client interactions in compliance with company policies and state transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or bus/shuttle driver; familiarity with passenger vehicle operation is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating passenger vehicles; clean driving record required.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and knowledge of local driving routes.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety standards, and state transportation regulations governing passenger vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members; compassionate customer service orientation is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks related to client assistance or vehicle maintenance.
- Prior experience in medical transportation or chauffeur driving is a plus but not mandatory.
