What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Analyst position at Baanyan Software Services, Inc.?
The position is for a System / Business Analyst with experience in PeopleSoft and ServiceNow. The analyst will support procurement and financial analysis tasks, focusing on timely renewal of licensing, support, and maintenance contracts—primarily for the MTA IT Cyber Security Division, but also for other divisions as needed. The role involves providing procurement, budget, and financial information related to Cyber Division operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or equivalent, or 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Procurement & Financial Modules, ServiceNow Asset/Contract Management, and Beeline Vendor Management System.
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and equipment.
- Strong MS Office skills or comparable applications; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to perform high-volume work accurately and independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel & Data Analytics: Mastery of XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Power Query; foundational SQL or Python for data extraction is a strong plus.
- Data Visualization & BI: Experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to track infrastructure spend.
- IT Financial Management (ITFM): Foundational understanding of CapEx/OpEx treatment, variable cloud billing models (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and SaaS license tracking.
- Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Ability to manage rolling financial models, track actual spend against projections, and isolate cost variances.
