Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wood Fabricator/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw wood materials into high-quality custom components and finished carpentry projects. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring precision, safety, and craftsmanship at every stage. Duties

• Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble wood components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install wood materials.
• Measure and mark materials precisely for cutting and assembly, ensuring all pieces meet project specifications.
• Install doors, trim, siding, flooring, drywall, fixtures, and other wood-based elements on residential or commercial sites.
• Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for framing, rebar installation, concrete forming, stucco application, and water damage restoration projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to power tool safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects according to construction plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and general woodworking.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines used in fabrication.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices related to power tool operation and heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of wood construction materials including siding, drywall, mold remediation materials, metal studs, flooring options, tile laying techniques, and fixture installation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately for fabrication and installation purposes.
• Prior experience in residential carpentry projects such as door hanging, remodeling, flooring installation, tile laying, and interior finishing.
• Construction site experience with familiarity in restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and plastering is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity over extended periods.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
