This position is ideal for someone who is friendly, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while ensuring campers enjoy a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Position Summary
The Seasonal Campground Attendant serves as one of the primary points of contact for campers throughout the busiest days of the week. Responsibilities include operating the campground entrance station, assisting guests during check-in, performing light janitorial and grounds maintenance, and helping maintain a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere during evening hours.
Essential Responsibilities:
Guest Services
- Welcome campers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Check guests in and verify reservations.
- Collect camping fees when required.
- Answer questions regarding campground policies, amenities, and local attractions.
- Assist campers with site locations and general information.
Front Gate Operations
- Operate the campground entrance station during assigned hours.
- Monitor vehicle traffic entering and exiting the campground.
- Ensure only registered campers and authorized visitors enter the property.
- Maintain accurate records and complete daily reports as required.
Janitorial & Grounds Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners s needed.
- Pick up litter throughout the campground and beach areas.
- Clean campsites, fire rings, picnic tables, and common areas as needed.
- Restock restroom supplies as needed.
- Perform other light maintenance duties as assigned.
Campground Patrol & Quiet Hours
- Conduct evening patrols throughout the campground.
- Assist with enforcing campground rules and quiet hours.
- Address minor guest concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to management.
- Contact campground management or local law enforcement when necessary.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Able to walk throughout the campground for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Previous campground, hospitality, janitorial, security, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
