The Regional Fleet Manager provides leadership and oversight of a high-volume tractor-trailer fleet across several states, managing 24–50 drivers as well as dispatch and traffic operations. This role is accountable for DOT compliance, safety, maintenance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence, while ensuring timely deliveries to depots, distribution centers, and retail locations. Strong knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, safety standards, maintenance, and repairs of tractor-trailer fleets. Proven ability to optimize transportation logistics costs and service performance. Skilled in managing driver workforce including hiring, retention, engagement, employee relations, and performance management. Ability to effectively respond to load and shipping inquiries and partner with DC and Depot operations. Working knowledge of back haul operations Preferred Competencies & Skills Exceptional multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across logistics, HR, and operations teams. Ability to adapt quickly to emergencies and operational changes, including overnight or extended shifts. Knowledge of regional geography and transportation networks. Minimum Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license. 5–8 years of fleet or terminal management experience with oversight of large driver teams. Ability to work 10–12 hour days, including overnight shifts as needed. Local and regional travel required in emergency situations Physical Demands Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, and crouch. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
