General Description: Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Coordinator (DC) will spearhead development efforts as the B5 continues to grow. The DC role includes overseeing all fundraising and managing relationships with B5’s financial partners. Importantly, the DC will help promote the organization while keeping it in alignment with B5’s mission, values, strategic plan, and policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with a Development Team to manage and grow a segmented donor list of annual individual donors
- Develop and implement an annual plan for fund-raising that includes donor cultivation, events, acknowledgements, and recognition.
- Effectively plan and implement fundraising programs to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Oversee donor-facing marketing and public relations to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with donors.
- Represent B5 at community events and organizations.
- Oversee and direct others in the organization of special events.
- Manage B5’s social media public relations functions including media relations and press releases.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications.
- B.A. or B.S. in a field related to the mission of the organization is preferred. A combination of work experience and education may be considered.
- Passion for the mission of B5.
- Previous Development experience is preferred but not required. Applicants with out-of-industry experience are encouraged to apply.
- Of critical importance are strong relationship building skills, demonstrated skill in organizing, excellent verbal and written communication, detail oriented, and strong project management skills.
- Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in using Microsoft Suite and Canva.
- Proficient with social media platforms.
- Be a self-starter and a good team player with motivation to learn new skills on the job.
Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
