Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Loan Officer to join our financial services team. Duties

• Evaluate and analyze client financial information to determine eligibility for loan products.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and submitted.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and assess risk factors associated with potential borrowers.
• Negotiate loan terms with clients while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and TILA guidelines.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to facilitate timely loan approvals and closings.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, contracts, and communications using financial software.
• Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the mortgage servicing process, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Stay informed about industry trends, FNMA guidelines, and changes in mortgage regulations to offer the best advice to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of loan origination, processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing practices.
• Proficient in using accounting software, financial software, and Quicken for managing client accounts.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful financial sales.
• Familiarity with escrow processes and contract management.
• Basic math skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
