Job Summary

Duties

• Accurately pick and pack products based on customer orders, ensuring quality and completeness.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to optimize product visibility and accessibility.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fulfillment area, including stockrooms and sales floors.
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and ensuring products are properly labeled.
• Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online communication channels.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and improve overall store performance.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Demonstrate product features through demos when needed to educate customers about new or popular items.
• Support store initiatives such as promotional events or seasonal merchandising efforts.

Skills

• Previous retail experience with supervising or team leadership is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with customers confidently and professionally.
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail math for accurate transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette to create positive interactions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions.
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance store presentation.
• Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
