This position is with Smith, Shellnut & Wilson, a Subsidiary of b1BANK. This internship is located in Ridgeland, MS.
Summary
The intern who serves in this role will gain hands on experience in an area of interest (including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Credit Administration, Risk Management, etc.) of the bank. Current MBA student specializing in Finance or Accounting. Undergraduate student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Overall GPA of 2.9 or greater required.
Specific Job Functions
Some duties may include:
- Preparation of balance sheet and expense account analysis.
- Recording general ledger transactions
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Compile management reports
- Financial analysis for internal reporting and planning.
- Compiling loan packages
- Spreading financial statements utilizing our spreading program.
- Inputting data and compiling reports
- Provides clerical support for all three areas including scanning, copying, filing etc…
- Assisting with special projects that are relevant to the course of study.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.
- Strong ability to multi-task daily activities and large projects
- Strong communication skills
- Must be highly motivated and self starter
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Flexible in job assignments
