The Commercial Banker will promote correspondent banking services within b1Bank as well as to outside bank partners across the region. This role will be a community leader that helps to identify and serve the community’s financial needs, as well as the needs of other financial institutions.
Specific Job Duties
- To promote correspondent banking services internally by attending various loan production meetings, keeping lenders up to date with changing products / specials, and approving loans when necessary.
- To promote correspondent banking services to outside bank partners by calling on, educating, and assisting with the approval of products.
- Communicates complex approvals or products to other financial institutions.
- Actively participates in the institution’s community activities and maintains close contact with local business owners, potential high net worth clients and other financial institution prospects.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in a commercial banking setting.
- Knowledge of commercial lending policies and procedures including state and federal regulations.
- Strong sales, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with customers about the commercial banking programs and policies.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
