b19 Consulting is partnered with a well-established engineering and surveying firm seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to support a range of infrastructure and land development projects.
This role offers the opportunity to lead field survey operations, work with advanced survey technology, and collaborate with a skilled team delivering high-quality projects.
Ideal skillset of the Survey Crew Chief:
- Minimum of 2 years of field surveying experience, including construction staking and topographic data collection
- Technical or Associate’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering plans
- Experience leading or supervising field survey crews
- Proficiency with Trimble GPS systems and Trimble Robotic Total Stations (S6/S7)Experience using Trimble data collectors such as TSC7, TSC3, or Ranger
- Working knowledge of survey field practices including construction staking, traversing, boundary investigation, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Experience with Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel preferred
- National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification or pursuing licensure preferred
