Location & Flexibility While this role is based in Pennsylvania, it's largely remote. With minimal regional travel (up to 10-15%), you'll have the flexibility you need, with occasional trips to best serve our utility customers.
What You’ll Do: As a Distribution Engineer Lead, you'll be at the forefront of designing and executing electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for our electric utility clients. You’ll:
- Develop comprehensive design and construction work packages.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations, including pole loading, conductor specifications, voltage drop analysis, and more.
- Provide expert support during construction phases, ensuring that all standards are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis and design mitigation strategies for outages.
- Coordinate complex field designs, permits, and right-of-way (ROW) applications in challenging urban environments.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- 3 years of electric distribution design experience, whether in consulting or with an electric utility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, engaging with customers and documenting processes.
- Strong knowledge of NESC and familiarity with industry tools like Pole Foreman, O-Calc, and Spida-Calc.
Extra Qualifications that’ll Boost Your Application:
- Experience in QA/QC or cost estimating.
- Hands-on experience with Work Management Systems like CREWS.
