About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director for its Application Security Team. This individual will lead the Application Security Engineering Team. In this role, you will: Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers Identify financial management and strategic resourcing Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers Lead team to achieve objectives Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy Manage strategic functional areas across application security, including but not limited to: SAST/DAST/SCA Container Security Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) Secrets Management etc. Deliver on Product Strategy to improve customer experience for Application Security. Manage key strategic internal and external relationships across technical delivery of Application Security platforms and tools. Develop and manage several internal and external product integrations. Manage and develop a highly specialized application security engineers and managers, focusing on delivering moderate to complex services for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners. Manage delivery of engineering commitments (features, upgrades, reporting from tools etc.) aligned to application security strategic priorities and guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans. Partner with internal teams for end-to-end accountability of application security controls. Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers. Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers. Lead efforts to define / manage required business plans (i.e. draft proposals & plans) and support related initiatives across products – including analyzing & identifying opportunities for efficiencies and innovation across internal processes and the tools to support. Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies, or industry forums. Proactively oversee and enhance "shift-left" agile goals, implementing automated controls early in the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC). Oversight on tools and, integration enhancement (upgrades, functional, etc.) for security management. Oversight on security tools for improving customer satisfaction and balancing needs of application security. Develop and refine strategies for implementing application security controls within Lines of Business (LOBs) for improving developer experience and simplification of controls. Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Contribute to other practices areas of Application security program by offering guidance on service execution, developer enablement, and remediation strategies etc. Required Qualifications, US: 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4 years of Management experience Desired Qualifications: Prefer to have 5 years of Management experience including leading senior information security professionals. 3 years of information application security experience 2 years of automation experience 3 years of experience in Working experience in the following security products: Checkmarx, Fortify, Invicti, Appscan, WebInspect, Threadfix, ServiceNow (App Sec module), Secrets, Github Advanced Security etc. 5 years – Development experience in more than one language 2 years – CI/CD integration experience Job Expectations: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Ability to work a hybrid schedule in a listed location 3 days per week on-site/in office and 2 days per week remote. 100% remote work option is not available Pay Range $207,900.00 - $431,900.00 Benefits Wells Fargo provides all eligible full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their physical and financial health and to help them make the most of their financial future.
