Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Database Engineer in Charlotte, NC. Job Role and Responsibility: Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases. Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts. Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases. Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing. Design and certify next generation database technologies. Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction. Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology. Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address. Travel required: None. Required Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related technical field. Amount and Type of Experience Required: Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving database engineering experience. Specific Skills Required: 4 years of database engineering experience or equivalent in Oracle Exadata or SQL Server 2 years of hands on experience with PL/SQL, Exadata cluster, Informatica and application support. 2 years of experience in enterprise servers, storage and network architectures Good understanding of resiliency models and disaster recovery procedures 2 years of experience with creating observability and monitoring controls for complicated batch streams Posting End Date: 22 Apr 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
