Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare different types of meats according to specifications and safety standards
- Use knives and ban saw-cutting equipment with precision and safety to produce uniform portions
- Package meat products securely for retail display or customer orders, ensuring freshness and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable advice on meat selections and cooking tips when needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Support inventory management by rotating stock, recording product levels, and reporting shortages or spoilage
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments with a focus on meat cutting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in using meat-cutting tools and equipment (specifically ban saws)
