This role requires an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step into the position and contribute immediately. The ideal candidate is someone who hits the ground running, takes full ownership of their work, and demonstrates an exceptionally high level of care, accuracy, and accountability in everything they produce.

The Experienced Staff Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations including but not limited to bill pay, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports. This individual must be comfortable working with limited supervision, managing multiple clients and priorities simultaneously, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all communications.

We operate in a fast-paced environment, and this role requires someone who can work efficiently, move quickly between tasks, and consistently produce high-quality work under deadlines. While this role requires a strong individual contributor who can independently manage responsibilities, we operate in an extremely collaborative environment where constant communication and coordination across the team is essential. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while regularly communicating progress, questions, and insights with team members and leadership.

Success in this role requires strong time management, excellent judgment, and the ability to balance speed with accuracy while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client service!

Responsibilities:

Ongoing management of multiple client accounts, requiring strong organization, prioritization, and consistent communication to ensure exceptional financial accuracy and client service.

Preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and financial reporting packages with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preparation and review of account reconciliations to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.

Preparation and posting of recurring, adjusting, and closing journal entries in accordance with internal accounting procedures.

Management of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll processing, and related account reconciliations.

Preparation and coordination of required business filings including B&O tax, property tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.

Generation of ad-hoc financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules for internal management and client requests.

Preparation and coordination of annual tax documentation including 1099 and W-2 processing.

Maintaining accurate, organized, and timely financial records across multiple clients.

Providing documentation, reports, and support to outside auditors, tax preparers, and legal teams as needed.

Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.

Communicating regularly with team members and leadership to provide updates, raise questions, and ensure alignment on client work and priorities.

Contributing to a highly collaborative team environment where communication and coordination across the firm are essential.

Supporting additional accounting, operational, and client-related projects as requested.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant professional accounting experience, preferably in outsourced accounting, and/or a multi-client environment.

Strong knowledge and practical application of cash and accrual-based accounting principles, and tax concepts, with the ability to apply accounting standards accurately across different industries and client accounts.

Demonstrated ability to manage accounting responsibilities independently and effectively with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience with QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems is strongly preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced professional environment.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and complete work while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to producing highly accurate, well-reviewed work.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, research solutions, and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal team members, clients, and third parties.

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in the quality of work produced.

Comfortable working as a strong individual contributor while participating in a highly collaborative environment that requires frequent communication with team members and leadership.

Demonstrates a humble, team-oriented mindset with a “no task too big or too small” attitude.

Ability to quickly learn firm processes, systems, and client structures and begin contributing effectively with limited training.
