Protect Alarms is looking for an experienced Service Technician in our Allentown, PA branch.
Position Summary: The Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for performing skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of fire, burglar, security, access control, CCTV, and related systems and components.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Installation, service, and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems
· System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
· Providing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment
· Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
· Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
· Maintaining a clean and safe work environment on and off site
· Interfacing successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
· Other duties as assigned
Education & Required Skills:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Must be able to install, inspect, program, or service security systems, access control, CCTV or other relevant
low-voltage systems
· NICET certification preferred
· Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work both alone and in group settings
· A strong work ethic and professional appearance
· Strong Time Management Skills
· Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50 lbs.
· Ability to work with power tools
· Must read and speak English
· Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
