We are recruiting experienced well seasoned Machinists as well as Machinists just starting their career and are interested in hands-on manufacturing.

We work for heavy industry and commercial companies. We do NOT repair or make repair parts for transportation industry.
We work from drawings and use shop travelers for detailed directions.
The full scope of this job is to setup and operate a well equipped well tooled conventional lathe to manufacture parts such as shaft sleeves, shafts, couplings, flanges as well as other cylindrically shaped parts.
Critical diameters on the parts that we make can be as tight as .0005" and non-critical dimensions as loose as .032" while maintaining print required surface finishes.
Our products are machined from a wide variety of materials but the most common are 400 and 300 series stainless steel and a wide variety of steels and bronzes and occasionally plastic.
BandS Machine provides ALL micrometers and precision measuring tools. We calibrate and verify these tools in house at regular intervals to insure the accuracy of our final product.
Our machinist are required to supply personal tools such as (but not limited to) dial indicators, hand wrenches, dial/digital calipers, Allen wrenches (English and metric), non-marring hammers, scribes, punches, edge/center finders, etc.
Good communication is a must here at BandS.
Located in the Sunny South, the temperature outside gets pretty hot. To combat the heat and provide a comfortable work environment we keep our facility air-conditioned to reduce fatigue and make the work day pleasant.
Our company offers 6 paid holidays a year, 50% participation in Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance premiums, up to 4% match 401K, and a cash profit sharing check to all eligible Machinists.
The workday starts at 7:00 AM. At 8:45 we take a scheduled break. At 9:00 it's back to work until lunch at 11:30. After a 30 minute lunch, we start the afternoon run. The "Final Bell" dings at 3:30.
Normally we work 5 days a week. We try hard to get the work done Monday thru Friday, but overtime is always available and sometimes necessary to keep up with shipments and customer demands. When overtime is required, cooperation is expected.
