What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/CAM 3D Modeling Technician — Precision CNC Machining position at B&S Machine Shop?
About the Role
Join a small, fast-paced CNC job shop where precision matters. As a 3D Modeling Technician, you will transform paper/PDF drawings and verbal instructions into exact, production-ready 3D models used directly for CNC machining on lathes and milling machines.

- Verify models are to exact size and fully aligned with GD&T and DFM principles so machinists can program and cut with confidence.
- Apply practical metalworking/tooling understanding to ensure models reflect real-world fixturing, tooling paths, and manufacturability.
- Manage, transfer, and attach files reliably within our ERP system to keep work moving.
What Success Looks Like
- Models that translate cleanly to CNC machining with minimal rework.
- Clear interpretation of prints, tolerances, and verbal direction.
