Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role located in Woodstown, NJ, for a CDL School Bus Safety Training Supervisor. Suggested, but not firm, hours are 8:00am-1:00pm. Additional hours may be available. Responsibilities include conducting CDL classes, safety training sessions for school bus drivers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing on-the-job support to ensure adherence to established safety standards. The role also involves assessing driver performance, coaching and counseling when necessary, and maintaining safety training records. Additionally, the supervisor will collaborate with management to improve safety protocols and ensure the efficient resolution of safety concerns. Last but not least, the role includes supporting 2-5 trainers, who actively train new drivers preparing them to be school bus drivers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in driver safety training, instruction, or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the transportation industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Competence in record management and organizational skills
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement
- Ability to provide mentorship and constructive feedback to drivers
- Experience working with school transportation or similar settings preferred
