BRW Contracting, Inc. is a Central Florida full-service site development company located in Land O' Lakes. Our services Includes land clearing and grading, underground utilities, concrete, and asphalt. We have been in the market for more than 20 years offering equal job opportunities.
We are currently seeking a Site Superintendent with EXPERIENCE. This is a full time local position.
The Site Superintendent's responsibilities include the following:
- Directing all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship in compliance with plans and specifications.
- Controlling job site expenditures for labor, equipment, material, services and ensures field operations are within budget
- Maintaining respectful and productive relationships with the client and their representatives.
- Identifying legitimate change order situations and coordinating with estimating department in the development of the change order proposal.
- Ensuring all company employees, subcontractors and suppliers adhere to B.R.W., Client and OSHA safety standards and policies
- Coordinating to assure that all inspection procedures and building code requirements are met
- Communicating with the General Superintendent/Operations Manager to discuss job progress and resource requirements
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, if necessary
- Field construction experience in construction methods, safety, and scheduling self-perform labor forces
- 10 years of progressive construction experience with 5 years as a superintendent
- Demonstrated skills in the use of computer software including MS Office and Project
- Capable of managing multiple projects between $0.5M - $5M simultaneously
- Willingness to work on job site as a working superintendent
- Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
- Physical demands require the ability to endure occasional physical activity, work long days and handle outdoor elements including a variety of weather conditions.
- Knowledge of underground utilities is a bonus.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience
