Receiving Manager – Full Time
Location: Russ's Market at 17th & Washington, in Lincoln, NE
Russ’s Market is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Receiving Manager to oversee all product and shipment receiving operations and ensure product accuracy, cost integrity, and a safe, organized backroom environment. This is a key operational role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and strong vendor relationships.
About the Role
The Receiving Manager is responsible for the verification and control of all DSD (Direct Store Delivery) product coming into the store. This position ensures proper documentation, accurate cost entry, compliance with receiving procedures, and consistent safety standards throughout the backroom.
You will work closely with vendors, Store Leadership, and Category Management to maintain accurate inventories, resolve discrepancies, and support overall store profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and document all vendor deliveries
- Ensure DSD cost accuracy and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Maintain organized receiving paperwork, logs, and reports
- Control backroom access and enforce safety and receiving procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all backroom areas
- Train backup receiving personnel
- Operate and maintain backroom equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, balers, etc.)
Qualifications
- Strong accuracy, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Effective communication and professional vendor interaction
- Computer proficiency and precise data entry skills
- Ability to bend, stand, and lift heavy items
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Early morning and some weekend availability required
