About the Role
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and collaboration with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries related to sales activity, inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and operating expenses.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support accounting for retail operations, including store-level transactions and inventory movement.
- Collaborate with store operations, merchandising, and other internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Retail accounting experience strongly preferred (multi-location and/or high-volume environments).
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with AP, AR, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory and cost of goods sold accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, close-driven environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
