Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist with merchandising by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Manage stocking duties by replenishing shelves and maintaining inventory levels throughout the store
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform basic math calculations for transactions with precision
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or in person
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant items to increase sales
- Support grocery store operations by ensuring cleanliness, safety standards, and proper signage are maintained
- Assist in supervising team members when required, providing guidance on customer service best practices
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Demonstrated supervisory experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal interaction, are essential
