Purpose:
The Barista is responsible for providing the preparation of specialty coffee drinks along with serving of food items.
Essential Functions:
- Must perform as any sales attendant in providing exceptional guest courtesy, having complete knowledge of all product and menu items, including preparation, and suggestions.
- Take drink orders, prepare cold and hot beverages, and then serve them in a timely fashion.
- Maintain accurate cash handling while receiving cash from guests, making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and insuring vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all monies. Input orders into a register at the POS and create a check for each customer.
- Process customer transactions while maintaining other duties. Accurately process transactions through the POS and counts back change to customers.
- Responsible for greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner, while suggesting product to enhance customers experience and meet sales goals.
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up on a daily basis, including the requisitioning and stocking of all products.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Conduct all opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
