Position Overview:
B’nai Shalom Day School seeks a dynamic, relational, and strategic leader to serve as our next Director of Admissions & Marketing. This is not simply an admissions role. The Director of Admissions & Marketing designs and executes a thoughtful, data-informed enrollment and marketing strategy that supports long-term sustainability while building authentic relationships with prospective parents, current families, and leaders throughout Greensboro. As the lead storyteller, the Director captures and communicates the vibrancy of student life and serves as a strategic partner to the Head of School and leadership team. From a family’s first inquiry through enrollment and beyond, this individual ensures a warm, professional admissions experience and thoughtfully stewards the school’s voice across all communications platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a comprehensive enrollment strategy to grow and retain a mission-aligned student body.
- Serve as a positive, energetic, and engaging representative of the school and its mission, developing strong relationships with families in the Jewish community and Jewish leaders who are, or can be, advocates for a B’nai Shalom education
- Personally guide prospective families through tours, applications, and enrollment decisions.
- Create and implement the school’s marketing and communications efforts, including website, social media, digital content, and print materials based on analytics and metrics data.
- Develop and lead recruitment and retention initiatives and community-facing events, partnering with the Academic Team to strengthen student retention and deepen family engagement.
- Generates and interprets regular reports on trends and data relevant to enrollment and community engagement, and presents to and advises Head of School and school leadership. Utilizes database and digital tools to track inquiries, engagement, and enrollment trends.
- Partner with the Head of School, Directors, and teachers to remain abreast of academic and co-curricular developments, ensuring that the Admissions Office effectively communicates the program and experiences that embody the school’s mission,
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and institutional growth.
Qualification & Qualities:
We recognize that outstanding candidates may come from independent schools, nonprofit leadership, marketing, business development, education, community engagement, or other fields. Direct school admissions experience is welcome but not required for the right candidate.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
