About The Role

As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in negotiating pricing and contracts, managing inventory levels for assigned product line, and ensuring quality control across materials and manufacturing. You will be responsible for purchase order processing, managing supplier partnerships that enhance efficiency and provide cost savings. This position requires strong procurement expertise, vendor management experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments, including Sales, Project Management, Design, and Accounting.

Who You Are

You are a highly organized and detail-oriented procurement professional with a strong background in contract negotiation and inventory management. You have experience in manufacturing working with wood, metal, acrylic, thermal forming, and HPL production. You are comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Your ability to build and maintain vendor relationships while driving cost efficiencies and quality control makes you a key asset to the team.

What You Will Be Doing

Purchase Order & Inventory Management

• Generate purchase orders for both approved sales requisitions and stock inventory needs.
• Work closely with the Distribution Center for quality control and inspection of materials.
• Prepare bid specifications, issue bid requests, and review vendor quotations for selection.
• Partner with Project Management, Sales, Design, and Accounting teams to facilitate procurement and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all purchasing transactions and pricing analysis.

Quoting & Pricing Analysis

• Determine the best-suited vendor based on pricing, manufacturing capabilities, quality, lead times, reliability, and service levels.
• Prepare and submit quote specifications, providing necessary drawings and technical details.
• Create and support project take-offs and analyze pricing trends for cost optimization.

Vendor Sourcing & Management

• Identify and source new vendors to expand capabilities and enhance cost savings.
• Establish strong supplier relationships that encourage innovation, accountability, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate cost reductions, payment terms, and contract conditions to optimize procurement processes.
• Product category management including margin growth responsibilities, inventory direction and management.

General Procurement Support

• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock management to avoid shortages or excess.
• Provide ongoing reports on supplier performance, pricing changes, and procurement trends.
• Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize procurement workflows.
• Other department tasks assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or adjacent industry.
• Strong background in vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and procurement best practices.
• Experience sourcing wood, steel, acrylic, solid surface, materials a plus.
• ERP system experience, preferably in NetSuite or a similar.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SmartSheet a plus.
• Self-motivator with an eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, reasoning, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Spanish is a plus.
