We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate high-volume manufacturing operations on our night shift in Ruskin, FL.
This position is responsible for directing and supporting team members, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all floor operations during core and overtime hours, ensuring adequate staffing and efficient workflow.
Ensure all team members adhere to attendance, punctuality, and break schedules.
Manage and control overtime to meet production demands effectively.
Conduct regular shop floor audits to ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
Approve time-off requests and coordinate Saturday shift schedules.
Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions, raises, bonuses, and other personnel actions.
Administer disciplinary actions in coordination with HR as needed.
Collaborate with management to develop and maintain a comprehensive training matrix for production employees.
Identify and address production bottlenecks or process inefficiencies.
Communicate updates on Must Ship, Expedite, and Hold items to ensure timely completion and shipment.
Oversee night shift priorities to ensure top items are completed for next-day delivery.
Report maintenance issues promptly to the maintenance department.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and safety.
Lead, coach, and support team leads to ensure consistent policy enforcement and team performance.
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Execute end-of-shift procedures and secure the facility prior to departure.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, high-volume production systems, and operational best practices.
Demonstrated experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Committed to maintaining a safe workplace and high product quality standards.
Fluent in English (written and verbal); bilingual in Spanish preferred.
2nd shift Hours: 5:15pm-2:45am ***** This is not a remote position*****
