Responsibilities
- Safely operate your personal vehicle to deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within designated routes
- Load and unload packages efficiently, utilizing manual lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures when required, and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations throughout each shift
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging professionally with recipients, answering questions, and resolving minor delivery issues promptly
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to maximize productivity and timely deliveries
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle concerns, or safety hazards to management immediately
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with a focus on route driving and customer interaction
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures is a plus
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving packages safely and efficiently
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar equipment with manual transmissions is preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation or pallet jack use is advantageous but not mandatory
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification is a plus - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
