B&L Welding and Machinery is seeking experienced Industrial Millwrights / Field Service Technicians for industrial installation, maintenance, repair, and field service work.
We are looking for skilled tradespeople who can work safely, troubleshoot problems, and complete quality work without needing constant supervision. This position will involve a variety of industrial projects rather than performing the same task every day.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repairs
- Install and service conveyors, material-handling systems, and production equipment
- Perform overhead crane and hoist installation, service, and repair
- Perform machinery removal, relocation, and installation
- Rig, lift, move, and set industrial equipment
- Perform structural and miscellaneous welding and fabrication
- Read blueprints, equipment drawings, and layout dimensions
- Perform equipment alignment, leveling, and precision installation
- Replace bearings, gearboxes, motors, shafts, couplings, and other mechanical components
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance projects
- Complete field documentation and communicate job status with management and customers
- Maintain a safe and professional jobsite
Qualifications
- Industrial millwright, industrial maintenance, machinery installation, or similar experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Rigging experience preferred
- Overhead crane and hoist experience is a plus
- Ability to read prints and use precision measuring tools
- Must be comfortable working at heights when required
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to travel to customer facilities as required
- OSHA training, welding certifications, crane experience, or other industrial certifications are a plus

We aren't looking for someone who only knows how to change parts. We want mechanically skilled people who can look at a problem, understand how the equipment works, and help determine the right way to repair it.
Experience across multiple trades—including millwright work, welding, fabrication, rigging, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, or overhead cranes—is highly valued.
