Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Spotter to join our trucking team at our IN facility.
Duties
- Safely maneuver roll-off trucks within the yard
- Spot trucks in designated areas to prepare for loading or unloading operations
- Assist with load & unload activities by guiding drivers and ensuring proper trailer placement
- Conduct visual inspections of trucks for damage or safety issues before movement
- Communicate effectively with drivers to coordinate vehicle movements and route driving needs
- Maintain accurate logs
- Support safety protocols by monitoring yard conditions and ensuring equipment like forklifts are used properly
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year yard spotter experience
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers and team members effectively
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed in a busy yard environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent climbing, bending, and standing
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Exposure to moving equipment and industrial environments
