Crane Operator

We are seeking a safety-conscious and skilled Crane Operator to join our St. Clairsville, Ohio team. This position will be responsible for operating cranes from 50 to 350 tons to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work closely with ground crews to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Safe Operation: Maneuver crane controls—including pedals, levers, and buttons—to lift and position loads with high precision.
• Daily Inspections: Conduct pre-operational safety checks on hydraulic systems, cables, and structural components before each shift.
• Load Assessment: Interpret load charts and calculate capacities to ensure every lift is within safe operating limits.
• Crew Coordination: Maintain constant communication with riggers and signal persons via radio or hand signals.
• Site Setup: Position cranes accurately, including setting outriggers and cribbing for maximum stability.
• Maintenance & Documentation: Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance; maintain accurate logs of all lifts and equipment status.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certification: Valid NCCCO certification (or equivalent) for the specific crane type required. PA Crane License.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in construction or industrial or oilfield environments.
• Licensing: A valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A CDL is required for mobile crane transport.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of rigging techniques and ability to read blueprints or lift plans.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to work at significant heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand or sit for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
