We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating an Accurpress Press Brake and a strong passion for precision metal fabrication. This position requires a solid understanding of sheet metal forming processes, blueprint interpretation, and safe machine operation. Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment while contributing positively to the team.
Qualifications
- Experience operating an Accurpress Press Brake
- Knowledge of forming, shearing, and notching metal parts
- Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ability to convert decimals to fractions accurately
- Experience measuring and cutting metal sheets to required dimensions using appropriate tools
Requirements
- Strong understanding of sheet metal layout techniques
- Knowledge of K-factors and bend allowances
- Understanding of material thicknesses, specifically 16-gauge and 11-gauge materials
- Complete understanding of open and closed bends
- Ability to program and operate a CNC press brake
- Experience operating programmable backstop gauges
- Ability to replace and set up dies/tooling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; team lifting is utilized for larger materials
Testing Requirement
Candidates will be required to complete a practical skills test, including squaring a piece of steel using a shear machine.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
